Product description
Product description
A living work of art by the late artist Apolonia Susana Santos. Four Native American women wrapped in blankets stand in a row at sunset, each decorated with abalone and bells. On their heads are hats in the western style. On their feet they wear moccasins and work boots. Perfect as a wall hanging or as a throw on a sofa. This design is part of the legendary collection and honors stories and symbols of Native American culture. Every year a new collector's blanket is added to the series.
About the Artist: Susana Santos (1954-2006) was a painter, serigraph, sculptor, writer and activist of Tygh / Yakima. Their use of rich colors, textures and natural materials created vivid landscapes that illuminated historical and contemporary indigenous life. Susana's art shows, writings, public speeches and theater marches encouraged local teenagers to always remember who you are.
