About us

Everything began with a name: Allike. Apart from the rather obvious wordplay, the name and our philosophy and concept derived from it require a few words of explanation. The word Allike is of Danish origin and translates to "jackdaw," the smallest and smartest member of the crow family. The reason we chose the Danish word is because we are located in Altona, the western district of Hamburg, which was once Danish, making it a historical homage. Furthermore, the jackdaw is a clever, selective, and very social animal, traits we also aspire to in our philosophy and concept. From the beginning, we have all worked, both as a store and as individuals, to build an aesthetic bridge between the very limited independent brands, art, and music, selecting the most important international players to create a space where these worlds merge on our own playground. We knew we were not alone in this vision, as the fusion of streetwear and fashion has been ongoing for decades, and fortunately, we have all been part of this growth. The selection of brands, products, artists, and people we work with reflects our history and our vision for the future.

We are proud of our history, but we never stop learning and exploring. Just as the jackdaw travels, so do we, constantly exploring new realities, trends, and movements at the intersection of fashion, sports, art, and culture, whether they exist offline, online, or both. Through our spaces here in Hamburg, we build communities by bringing stories, experiences, and products from around the world that we find exciting, positive, and contributing to our world, and in doing so, we aim to give back, not just to our community here but to everyone we interact with. This is how we understand what we do: we interact, we shape, and we offer our aesthetics, and we have been doing so successfully for 15 years.

Since 2014, we have been based in Hamburg Altona with our own brick-and-mortar store and have significantly expanded our ecosystem since then. We not only count the Allike Store but also the a.plus store and Willi's in Altona Nord among our locations. Find out more about our locations:
