40 years of G-Shock: Exhibition & Afterparty

This year marks the 40th anniversary of arguably one of the best-known watch brands around: G-Shock.

In 1983, Casio launched the first G-Shock watch, and since then G-Shock has shaped the watch landscape with its incomparable look and shock-resistant case. However, G-Shock has always been more than just a timepiece. Rather, the brand stands for an attitude towards life and can be seen on the wrists of athletes as well as artists, musicians, and trendsetters.

To celebrate this anniversary, we curated an exhibition of some of the most exclusive G-Shock collaborations and limited edition models of the last decades in our Allike Pop-Up Gallery. Thus, there you could see the collabos with Eminem, Daily Paper, UNDEFEATED, Kith, Asics, Bape and many more. At a G-Shock grab machine you could try your luck and win many different giveaways as well as G-Shock watches. Additionally, there were exclusive t-shirts that we made especially for the event.

For the opening, the weather showed its best side, so that one could relax and watch the exhibition and enjoy cool drinks in front of the APG.

Special guest of the opening was Hamburg's very own Kwam.E: He played an exclusive live session in our backyard and then visited the exhibition at our APG, did a meet & greet and was available for photos and autographs.

In the evening we invited you to the "Tic, Tac, Boom: 40 years of G-Shock" dance party at Chief Brody - and you came in droves! From 11PM on we partied with you to the sounds of the DJs of the evening: Cho Room, Spriteeyez, yung_womb and Haaizey.
