Sliding back in time: If you love your adidas sneakers but don't want to miss out on that wonderful feeling of fresh air around your toes during the summertime, Adidas got something for you: the brand from Herzogenaurach put the designs of four of their most iconic sneaker silhouettes on one of their all-time classics - the Adilette.
One of the chosen silhouettes is the Adidas SL 72. Originally designed for the Olympic Games in Munich and being introduced in 1972, it was traditionally worn on the podium. Also, the SL 72 was the first Adidas sneaker that featured the "Trefoil" logo.
Another famous adidas silhouette that got the Adilette treatment is the Micropacer. It was introduced in 1984 and was one of the first shoes that brought technology and performance to another level: It came with an implemented LCD screen on the tongue that featured a pedometer, stopwatch and calorie counter and was super futuristic at that time..
Last but not least, it's the NMD. Although it's the youngest silhouette of the four, it is one that caused a big bang among sneakerheads and the streetwear enthusiasts when it was released in 2015. Since then, it has definitely inspired lots of sneakers that have been released afterwards.
